APPEAL FOR EMERGENCY AND POST-DISASTER RELIEF IN NEPAL

On August 26, 2026, there was a deadly flooding of the Botekoshi River beginning along the China-Nepal border and devastating the surrounding communities, homes, and lives specifically in the district of Rasuwa. Understanding the science behind this is ongoing; but the devastation to life, livelihoods, homes, and families is overwhelming. The damage has been felt immensely in Nepal; however, the responsibility to understand this in regard to future concerns and to assist in ongoing relief efforts is a global responsibility. Please join us at Nyingthop by supporting our efforts to:

• sponsoring the education of orphaned children
• addressing the needs of women who have been left widowed
• distributing relief packages and feminine hygiene packages to displaced persons
• helping to prevent human trafficking at this vulnerable time
